Grip Plus shotgun stocks are ergonomically designed to provide optimal comfort, reduce fatigue and enhance performance because they can be tailored to fit each shooter’s unique body type and shooting style. Proper gun fit and barrel control are paramount for successful shooting, and Grip Plus shotgun stocks are individually crafted to optimize weight distribution, balance and recoil management.

It all starts with the grip; hence our name Grip Plus as we believe the shotgun grip is one of most important components of successful shotgun stock manufacturing. Your shotgun grip impacts how you hold, control and swing your shotgun. A grip that is either too small or too big will adversely impact your overall shooting. While most shotgun manufacturers offer one-size-fits-all grips on their commercially available shotguns, Grip Plus offers six different sizes to ensure that your shotgun stock fits you perfectly.

Our custom grips, combined with the adjustability of our stock (length of pull, cast at the comb as well as at the grip, and pad) and our patented recoil reduction system enhance stability and reduce muzzle rise. This combination enables you to maintain better control over your shotgun which improves accuracy especially on second shots.

At Grip Plus, we understand that every shooter has unique requirements, and our custom shotgun stocks are designed to meet these specific needs. Whether you are a competitive shooter, a hunter, recreational shooter or someone who is suffering from the ill effects of recoil, Grip Plus can provide a tailored solution to optimize your shooting experience. We encourage you to explore our models to learn about the benefits each  Grip Plus stock can provide you.

Sai Chiang is the owner and founder of Grip Plus shotgun stocks. As an architectural fabricator, inventor and competitive shooter, Sai has devoted the past 18 years to designing and crafting highly customizable shotgun stocks with innovative recoil reduction technology that has earned four U.S. patents and one patent pending.

Sai first learned to shoot as a 17-year-old Marine recruit in 1969. With no prior shooting experience, Sai absorbed his training and found not only did he enjoy shooting but excelled at it and qualified as an expert in both rifle and pistol. After serving two years with the Marines including a combat tour in Vietnam, Sai returned to civilian life but had lost interest in shooting. It wasn’t until several years later, when a friend invited him to go bird hunting that Sai’s competitive streak was reignited. Believing that an expert rifleman would excel at bird hunting with a shotgun, Sai quickly found out that shooting a shotgun at a fast-moving target was uniquely different than rifle or pistol shooting. Nonetheless, Sai was hooked by the challenges associated with shotgun sports. Like most new shooters, Sai tried many types of shotguns and all the different clay games. After much trial and error, he purchased a Perazzi over-and-under and set his sights on breaking 100 in America Skeet. He accomplished his goal one month later. From there, Sai moved on to Olympic Skeet and, as he says, he became addicted to the sport.

Sai excelled at local and national competitions and in his first year learning Olympic Skeet, Sai set an ambitious goal—to make the U.S. Olympic Skeet Team. At his very first Olympic team trials, he shot a perfect 100 on the first day and finished sixth overall. That performance caught the attention of the U.S. Army Reserve Marksmanship Unit, who recruited Sai to compete and represent them in Olympic Skeet.  So, at the age of 28, Sai enlisted in the Army Reserves and join the Army Reserve Marksman Unit.  The unit provided Sai with the opportunity to focus on his shooting and he travelled throughout the world to compete. The more Sai competed, the more dissatisfied he became with commercially available shotguns. “No matter what shotgun I purchased, and I purchased many, they just didn’t feel right, and I was constantly customizing them for my needs,” Sai recalls. While competing world-wide, Sai met fellow competitors who too were longing for a shotgun stock that fit their build and shooting style. This dissatisfaction with commercially available stocks, including adjustable ones, was the inspiration for Sai to set out and design and build his own stock. It took Sai 18 years and many concepts and designs before he settled on his combination of a custom grip, highly adjustable stock and a patented recoil system. “I threw away thousands of dollars’ worth of materials designing my early models because I wasn’t satisfied with the design and functionality and, if I didn’t like it, I knew other serious shooters wouldn’t like the either.”

Satisfied that he created the best customizable shotgun stock available on the market today, Sai closed his architectural fabrication company after 40 years so he could devote  himself full-time to designing and building custom shotgun stocks. “I am living my dream,” Sai likes to say, as his work allows him to spend time building custom stocks, meeting with and training shooters, and traveling to shooting competitions.

Let Sai and his team of precision craftsmen help to fulfill your dream of becoming a better shooter with a custom shotgun stock from Grip Plus.
